At MK2 Recruitment the safety of our people sits above all other operational activity and is an absolute priority.

Our fundamental values and beliefs about Safety, Health, Environment and Injury Management are an integral part of our culture and how we conduct our business on a daily basis. At MK2 we understand and acknowledge that the Safety, Health and Wellbeing of our team members and the way in which we operate and work with our clients are of paramount importance and we never compromise safety for operations.

In accordance with our Safety, Health, Environment and Injury Management Policies we continuously review our Safety Managements and operational performance and the policies & procedures that drive our governance with ongoing compliance auditing.

The successful application of MK2’s Safety Management System requires an effective, strategic and coordinated approach and process with all clients, Team members and stakeholders being key to the process.

We continually strive to improve our business in establishing our Health, Safety & Environmental strategies, performance indicators and reviewing processes that are required to achieve business targets and ensure continuous improvement in the Safety Management System.

MK2 has Safety integrated in all operational facets to ensure we provide the service demanded of our team members and of our clients.

What we do

People are our business and we pride ourselves in making sure those that represent us on a daily basis on our client’s sites are at all times working in a safe a productive environment and in turn adding value to our client’s bottom line. At every step of our process we are providing our team members with the information, training and guidance in all areas of safety ensuring every team member is as prepared and ready for each assignment as they can possibly be with the aim to maintain the highest level of safety awareness when they are placed with an Mk2 client.

We deliver ongoing specialist safety advice and assistance in consultation with all stakeholders when our team members are working on client sites and in doing so we:

  • Conduct Site Safety Audits and Inspections prior to every assignment and during team members deployment,
  • Provide toolbox talks on site,
  • Undertake risk assessments for all tasks and sites,
  • Provide continuous communication and consultation,
  • Have effective Injury Management & Early intervention strategies in place,
  • Provide assistance to clients in incident investigations,
  • Have a dedicated point of contact for all our clients and team members for safety or injury management,
  • Respond immediately to a team members or client’s safety concerns,
  • Implement any corrective actions promptly post incidents.

At every point of our recruitment and induction processes we provide a high level of safety awareness to create positive behaviors in our people creating a positive safety culture throughout Mk2.

Our Mk2Safe management system provides the tools, and guidance for our daily operations with our clients, from toolbox talks, risk management tools and other related materials.

Incident Reporting

For all safety and injury concerns that affect you or others you work with no matter how insignificant they may be, our Mk2 Safety Specialist a call with any enquiries you have.

  • Mk2 have our own safety specialist who can assist you with your enquiry.
  • We encourage open and transparent communications to ensure the effectiveness of our Safety and our People.
  • Simply Call 0448 000 071 to enquiry about a safety matter or to report an incident or injury.
  • Remember to report all incidents as soon as practicable once the area is safe and the person is no longer in harms way.
  • We care about our team members safety and wellbeing and will always go that extra mile to assist and protect our people.
  • All incidents are reportable to MK2 no matter how minor they may be.
  • All incidents shall be reported within 24 hours of the incident occurring, or upon client’s procedures.
  • Any incident that requires medical treatment, ambulance transport or similar is to be reported immediately.
